I don’t know how I came across it, but I’m glad I did. Helvetica is a documentary that takes a scenic ride through graphic design by way of one particular typeface, Helvetica. I’m not a designer, so I can’t speak on cameos, but I found it very information and inspiring. More after the jump.

Documentaries have become a new point of interest for me, so I figured why not share the good finds with you kind folks who patronize me with your visits. Today’s feature is from Byron Hurt, activist and public speaker, depicting his discoveries about the music he grew up loving and defending. It explores Hip Hop’s definition of manhood and covers topics including homophobia, hypermasculinity and even homoeroticism. It runs about an hour and features the likes of Chuck D, Eric Michael Dyson, The Clipse, Mos Def and many more. Its a nice add to the hip hopumentory collection. Check out the trailer:
